Gleeks, those uber-fans of Fox’s “Glee,” may be thrilled to learn there’s a radio station that’s devoted to songs from the program, according to a report from Sky News Online.

But given that the radio station, which is based in the U.K.’s Oxford, limits itself to songs from the television program, its play list consists of just 80 songs, the story says. “The response has been very divided. People are either in the Glee camp or they are not. Female listeners love it more than male,” station program director Susan Carter says.

With 178 radio-ready singles to play in a given day. That worked out to only five and a half hours (roughly) of available audio. Even when cut up with commercials, “Glee” doesn’t provide a whole day’s worth of programming.

  1. I attended one of the GLEE Radio City Music Hall concerts last year — it was one of the loudest most over-produced evenings of auditorial rape I’ve ever experienced. You couldn’t appreciate the voices at all because the overall volume was so excessive. The RCMH sound system kept throwing default feedback back into the hall because it couldn’t handle the noise. Neither could my ears, which rang for 2 days. Bring earplugs, advil or just stay home. You’re gonna give your kids some impressive hearing damage by attending.
