Max Brooks (Zombie Survival Guide, World War Z) appeared at Long Beach Comic Con this weekend greeted by his enthused fans.  The ballroom was filled with laughter and cheers as he informed the audience about his published works.

Brooks also gave all in attendance a pleasant surprise.  He announced while at the convention that World War Z the movie is in productions. Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B and Paramount Pictures are collaborating to make the book into a motion picture. While it is still in the very early stages, a high six figure deal has been acquired and Brad Pitt is very excited to see this through, so much so that he is going to star in it.  The date itself has not been release but it is scheduled to be released in 2012.
