SPIRIT OF THE SUWANNEE MUSIC PARK, LIVE OAK – It may be cold and damp outside during January, but it’s warm and rocking inside the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park’s Music Hall where the Rusty Groove Band and Mike Mullis will be shucking it down on stage this weekend, Jan. 14-15!

Rusty Groove is a North Florida based band, well received with all band members singing with strong harmonies. The band has already made a name for itself at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP). Crowd interaction and participation is always a part of this show. Past venues for the band include nightclubs, civic organizations, special event shows and of course, regulars at the Spirit of the Suwannee SOS Café and Restaurant and Music Hall. If you like great music from new to classic rock, modern to classic country and anything in between, you’ll be sure to enjoy Rusty Groove. Rusty Groove is composed of founding members Ed Ward, Art Martin and Charlie Chesnut. Ed is a road experienced musician, songwriter and cruise ship entertainer, holding down the guitar and vocals job for the band. Art plays drums and does vocals and formed the Rusty Groove Band three years ago after playing the South Florida nightclub circuit for years as well as performing at special events. Last but not least, Charlie sings and plays bass with the band after years as a road musician, studio session player and songwriter. Don’t miss these very professional musicians who want you to come enjoy dancing to their music this Saturday night, Jan. 15. You’ll be glad you did!

Mike Mullis starts off the weekend Friday night, Jan. 14, by bringing his variety show to the Music Hall with just about anything you can imagine to keep it lively, comical and just plain fun! Mike’s got the knack to entertain his audience with hula hoops, games, music, dancing and you name it! Everybody has fun, gets a chance to show off their moves on the dance floor and just have a good time during Mike’s regular Friday night events.

The Music Hall opens at 6 p.m. for dinner while music and dancing begins at 8 p.m. As always, the SOS Café and Restaurant will have available delicious food and beverages at regular prices during these events. Admission to the Music Hall Jan. 14-15 is $5 per person with the $5 applied to your evening’s tab at the SOS Café and Restaurant.
