SPIRIT OF THE SUWANNEE MUSIC PARK, LIVE OAK, FLA –

The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Fla is thrilled to announce the signing of Grammy and CMA winner Joe Diffie to be part of the huge group of country artists playing at the 20th Anniversary Suwannee River Jam this year in Live Oak, Fla!

Diffie was just signed and joins artists Ronnie Dunn (formerly of Brooks and Dunn), Gary Allan, Luke Bryan, Kellie Pickler, Phil Vassar, Jerrod Niemann, Darryl Worley, Lee Brice, LoCash Cowboys and Blackberry Smoke who will perform during this historic 20th birthday of the largest country music jam in the South, the Suwannee River Jam!

A member since 1993 of the Grand Ole Opry which he considers his greatest achievement, some of Joe Diffie’s hit songs include “John Deere Green,” “Bigger Than The Beetles,” “Prop Me Up,” “Pickup Man,” “Third Rock From The Sun,” “Leroy The Redneck Reindeer” and many, many more. His most recent album is Homecoming.

Diffie has produced 12 singles that reached the top of the charts, was awarded a Grammy for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals in 1998. In 1993 Diffie received the CMA Vocal Event of the Year award. His first number one hit was “Home” in 1990. He has toured extensively over the years and currently is touring the United States and Canada.

In case you’re new to the country music scene, you should know that Joe Diffie is both a performer and songwriter, according to journalist Greg Victor. “He is responsible for twelve #1 hits of his own, as well as hits for Tim McGraw, Tracy Lawrence and Joe Dee Messina. But Homecoming is a return to Diffie’s bluegrass roots. He delivers a collection that sounds as free as the wind whistling through the Great Smoky Mountains. But that doesn’t mean that Diffie is new to recording bluegrass; the first time was 25 years ago when he appeared on an album by The Special Edition.”

Homecoming was co-produced by Diffie and Luke Wooten and features a who’s who of bluegrass, including fiddler/mandolin player Aubrey Haynie. Aubrey Haynie is one of Live Oak, Fla’s own favorite sons and has played at the SOSMP on several occasions.

The jam will also include a second stage where up and coming artists will perform, including the winners of the SRJ talent contest. Additionally, the new Ms. Suwannee River Jam Daisy Dukes Style will be crowned to reign for the next year and receive more than $3,000 in prizes.
