TARDIS joke is getting old.

If you see Matt Smith rushing through the airport resist the urge to ask about the TARDIS.

Well meaning fans always ask the same question over and over. Give the man a break! No matter how much he may like the part being asked repeatedly about the TARDIS has to start to wear on his nerves.  lol My guess is the second most annoying thing is mentioning a bow tie.

“Everyone is always asking if the Tardis is parked outside,” Matt told Day & Night. “The worst is airports – they’re like: ‘Did you bring the Tardis?’ and I say, ‘Er, no, I didn’t but thank you.’”

I am thinking, “Now that you are single would you like to go home with me?”

Matt Smith (The Doctor) is reportedly single again.

Matt Smith (The Doctor) is reportedly single again.

The eleventh doctor in the BBC series, Doctor Who is single. Matt Smith and Daisy Lowe have ended their 18-month relationship. Sources claim the relationship ended because of work conflicts. Mostly in part to Smith’s schedule working on Doctor Who. The shooting schedule was too demanding for a relationship to continue. Smith was recently photographed out on the town with his male friends, not looking happy.
The Sun UK reported that Smith was out in London yesterday. This was first time the actor had been seen since his break up with Lowe. The Sun also reported that a source claimed the couple did not have time for each other anymore due to crazy work schedules and that Smith had become nervous about a possible long-term future with Lowe. Any talk of engagement or marriage seemed to unnerve Smith.

Many are surprised at this break up. Fans of Smith had recently seen pictures of the couple happy and enjoying London just a few weeks ago. The couple had been together for nearly two years before the split.

MTVUK.com added that both Lowe and Smith have not commented on the break up. Representatives for the couple have not spoken either. Sources close to both parties involved are saying that both people are devastated by this break up.

The one foot tall Dalek prototype says "Exterminate" when a signal from the show is activated.

The BBC’s new Doctor Who creation is promising to put viewers in the thick of the action by transmitting an internet signal from their TV to a toy Dalek next to them on the sofa – enabling it to mirror the actions of its on-screen comrades.

Imagine having to fight the Daleks in your own living room – it may not be what you signed up for as a licence payer but the next time you hear ‘Exterminate! Exterminate!’ it will probably already be too late.

But don’t reach for the sonic blaster just yet, because it is simply the BBC’s technology team having some fun.

While only a 30cm (1ft) prototype has been developed up to now, the idea could pave the way for other characters to be transferred from screen to floor.

‘Effectively, this puts another actor in the living room, enabling a production team to write a script and include it as part of the viewer’s experience,’ project director Adrian Woolard explained.

‘It’s a playful illustration that shows the possibilities that exist to producers when we start to think about future connectivity in a home environment.

Creator Andrey Bonney programmed the Daleks with codes in their remote control system, which then triggered movement.

The same data was embedded within a Doctor Who episode and then sent out via a wi-fi-enabled set-top box when broadcast.

A Christmas behind the scenes episode of Doctor Who Confidential won’t show? One report has that it that it is filmed but won’t be shown another says it hasn’t been filmed.

Series producer Gillane Seaborne told the new edition of Doctor Who magazine: ‘The biggest regret is the episode of Confidential we’ve filmed for this year’s Doctor Who Christmas special which now won’t be shown.

‘So I guess in the fine traditions of Doctor Who, we now have our very own missing episode.’

Industry experts told The Sun newspaper the cost of scrapping the show, presented by Alastair Sooke, were around £50,000 but ‘possibly more’, although sources at the BBC have denied it has even been filmed.

A source said: ‘This is the first we have heard of it. We’re being told there is no Christmas show.’

Another BBC spokesman added: ‘While Doctor Who Confidential has been decommissioned, all existing episodes will be shown. But there is no Christmas special.’

George Michael hospitalized in Vienna

George Michael hospitalized in Vienna

“George Michael’s lover Fadi Fawaz has broken his silence about the singer’s condition, saying he is ‘improving every day.’

News emerged this week that the former Wham! star had been struck with potentially fatal condition pneumonia.

Fawaz has now revealed the 48-year-old is ‘much better’ and ‘improving’, despite being in intensive care and cancelling his European tour. Read more here.

“Doctors treating singer George Michael on the 13th floor of the Vienna AKH general hospital say his condition has worsened overnight.

He was hospitalised on Monday after a doctor was called to his suite at the Hotel imperial in Vienna’s posh first district and diagnosed breathing difficulties.

The hospital refused to say why the star was moved but it is believed it was decided that the singer’s condition was so acute that it would be better if he was moved to the AKH – the biggest in Europe and where many of the continent’s top medical experts are based because of the advanced facilities it offers for research as well as treatment.

On Thursday afternoon he was fitted into a special full-body bed designed to keep all the pressure off his lungs and to help them to function – so far without any sign of improvement.” Source

Heightened expectations and high risk were the rule of the previous series, series 5, of Doctor Who. The beginning of the reign of showrunner Steven Moffat (Coupling, Sherlock) promised great change, though for good or for bad, we did not know.

You might then expect something similarly revolutionary for series 6. Once you’ve had a taste of just how good things can be, as I have previously described series 5, you might feel deep satisfaction, followed by ennui, and then you try to make it happen again.
[hana-code-insert name=’Pre Order DVD’ /]
But this time, the new boss is the same as the old boss. Series 6 is certainly worse in some ways than 5, but it is quite possibly much better in the exact same ways. Let’s call it an evolutionary process, whose outcome is not yet known. Read the rest of this comprehensive review.

Doctor Who's Amy Pond Karen Gillian

Karen Gillan has confirmed that Amy and Rory will appear in the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas Special.

However, as hinted in previous interviews, the actress told the Press Association it would only be fleeting:

“Amy is in the Christmas special, with her husband Rory. It’s a cameo appearance but we’re in there. It was really fun, I think we were only down for one evening, just came on set and ran around on set like we always do, it was like we never left. It was great fun.”

Kiwi director Peter Jackson has been inked with the same tattoo as a man he helped save from death row.

The Southland Times reported Jackson and Damien Echols – one of three men who were accused of murdering three eight-year-old cub scouts in 1993 – visited a Queenstown tattoo parlour earlier this week to get tattoos.

The owner of the tattoo shop, Greg Burt, confirmed to the paper that both men had visited but refused to give any other details as “it was kind of special”.  Read the rest of the article here.

My current suitcase is ready  to go to luggage heaven. We travel so much, I swear if I put a suitcase on the bed my clothes start crawling inside. I took a look at Travelpro luggage and it meets all my picky needs.

My last trip was a nightmare of flight changes and my luggage was heavy and not easy to steer. It ended up underneath and it didn’t hold up to the rough handling either.  Travelpro is sturdy and attractive with a wheel system that looks like it is easy to pull along. The piece I am looking at has a reasonable price point and Travelpro luggage is sold at JC Penny.

If the piece looks familiar, it is because you have probably seen it in airports. The luggage is popular with people that fly a lot and airline crews.

Travelpro has a  broad selection of luggage, everything from duffle bags on up. The Rolling Duffel caught my eye when I was at their website. It would be perfect for my son. He loves his duffel bag but carrying it through a crowded airport is no fun.

A big plus when you travel as much as we do is that Travelpro luggage is made of nylon fabric and coated with Duraguard so it stays clean and the large one I want only weighs 9 pounds. Being water repellent is important for my trips to Florida.

In addition to their excellent luggage, Travelpro is holding an awesome contest. Can you imagine having 1/2 million miles!?! That is 500,000 Delta SkyMiles!  That’s right, the winner  of the TravelPro sweepstakes gets 500,000 Delta SkyMiles. It is approximately 238,855 miles to the moon. If you win, all you need to do is find a space program that accepts Delta SkyMiles and you got a round trip!

Benedict Cumberbatch, Smaug in the Hobbit.

Benedict Cumberbatch, Smaug in the Hobbit.

Benedict Timothy Carlton Cumberbatch (born 19 July 1976) is an English film, television, and theatre actor. His most acclaimed roles include Stephen Hawking in the BBC drama Hawking (2004); William Pitt in the historical film Amazing Grace (2006); the protagonist Stephen Ezard in the miniseries thriller The Last Enemy (2008); Paul Marshall in Atonement (2007); Bernard in Small Island (2009); and Sherlock Holmes in the modern BBC adaptation series Sherlock (2010). He will also portray Smaug the Dragon through motion capture and voice the Necromancer in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: There and Back Again.

“While fans’ patience was tested during the ups and downs of development on The Hobbit, production is now finally underway in New Zealand with our loyal Middle Earth captain Peter Jackson at the helm. While Jackson has been posting production diaries from the set (and will continue to do so throughout the year-long shoot), one of the biggest questions is what Jackson’s version of the dragon Smaug will be like. For those unfamiliar, Smaug is the main antagonist in the story of Bilbo’s adventure. Actor Benedict Cumberbatch (BBC’s Sherlock) signed on to portray the dragon, and Steve recently got the chance to speak with Cumberbatch as part of the press day for the thriller Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.” Read more of the article on Collider.

"Ghost Adventures" Star Aaron Goodwin

“Ghost Adventures” star Aaron Goodwin is selling special “Big Steppin” ornaments through his website to raise money to help buy toys for underprivileged kids this Holiday season.  “I am selling “Big Steppin” ornaments and half of the proceeds go to Kids Without Toys.” says Goodwin.  ” So in the middle of December I am going to have hopefully a ton of toys and will drop them off at a local Nevada radio station who will match it so really it’s all of the proceeds going to charity.”

Play Classic Atari Video Games on iPad Accessory

When the iPad was announced, the Super Geeks at ThinkGeek  all crammed into a conference room to watch live and drool over every shiny corner and reflecty icon. After the glow of the initial announcement wore off, many of then came to the conclusion that the iPad was actually pretty useless. “It’s a giant iPhone!” some said. Others exclaimed, “WTF, no Flash!?”. Still,  They  knew that most Apple fanbots (including them) would have to have one anyway.

Kim Kardashian playboy

Kardashian shot to fame with the release of a "leaked" sex tape she and her boyfriend had made. "Vanity, greed, promiscuity, vulgarity and over-the-top conspicuous consumption" followed.

Cyndy Snider has stepped up to do her part to fight the worship of greed in America with an online petition to have E! remove the Kardashian/Jenner clan from television.

Sign the Kardashian Petition

“In a grass roots effort, we have collected [thousands of] signatures for a petition asking E! Entertainment to remove the Kardashian suite of shows from their programming,” petition organizer Cyndy Snider said in a statement. “We feel that these shows are mostly staged and place an emphasis on vanity, greed, promiscuity, vulgarity and over-the-top conspicuous consumption.”

The petition — available at GoPetition.com — is just one of the organized efforts to get the Kardashian/Jenner clan off television screens, clothes, and perfume and nail polish bottles everywhere. Websites and Facebook  are also calling for their ouster.

Boycott The Kardashian Facebook page

“While some may have begun watching the spectacle as mindless entertainment or as a sort of ‘reality satire,’ it is a sad truth that many young people are looking up to this family and are modeling their appearance and behavior after them,” Snider continued. “I’ll remind you here that the Kardashian family fame largely started with a ‘leaked’ sex tape.”

There’s even a petition to get Kim Kardashian’s role scrapped in the upcoming Tyler Perry film “Marriage Counselor.” Read more here
