AMC Awards Include Spirit of the Swannee Music Park Performers Florida Georgia Line

SPIRIT OF THE SUWANNEE MUSIC PARK, LIVE OAK, FLA – When this year’s ACM Awards gets underway this weekend, April 5-7, there will be a multitude of artists who have made it big and some who are just now hitting the big time. But, in all these famous names you will see performing throughout this spectacular weekend and at the BIG show Sunday evening, there are many who have either already performed at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Fla over the past 20 plus years or who will be at the 2013 Suwannee River Jam! Here’s a list of just some of those mentioned by the ACM folks – this year‘s Jam performers being honored with awards or performing at the ACM have a double ** next to their names: Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert, Toby Keith, Florida Georgia Line **, Eli Young Band**, Easton Corbin**, Randy Houser**, Miranda Lambert, Eric Church, Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Gary Allan, Lee Brice, Justin Moore, Jake Owen, Joe Nichols, Jerrod Niemann, Blackberry Smoke, ACM Song and Songwriter of the Year nominee Johnny Bulford, Eric Paslay, Morgan Frazier, Aubrey Haynie and the Zac Brown Band! Wow! Now, that’s a lot of top country stars who have passed through the gates of The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, and that’s only a fraction of the artists who have performed at the SOSMP!

The Eli Young Band is among those performing at the 2013 Suwannee River Jam. The band is up for several ACM awards – Vocal Group of the Year, Single Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Even If It Breaks Your Heart.” The EYB is expected to bring some serious energy and fans to the Suwannee River Jam May 1-4 at the SOSMP!

Another artist who has a SOSMP history is Aubrey Haney, who has Live Oak ties, nominated for and already announced as the winner of the Fiddler of the Year! Nominated for Steele Guitar Player of the Year was former area resident Scotty Sanders who has lived in Columbia and Hamilton counties and has many relatives still in this area. Scotty has been a session artist in Nashville for a number of years and is highly regarded for his work. Although Scotty didn’t win this year, North Florida is proud to claim him as one of our own![hana-code-insert name=’LikeArticle’ /]

Johnny Bulford, who won the state Colgate (now Texaco) Country Showdown at the SOSMP in 2008 and went on to win the national and $100,000 in cold hard cash is among those nominated this year! He’s nominated for the ACM Song of the Year for “A Woman Like You,” and is among the performers during this week of ACM events in Las Vegas. He’s now a successful songwriter with Warner Chappell in Nashville, having written Lee Brice’s Platinum selling single, “A Woman Like You,” with Phil Barton and Jon Stone. The charismatic singer/songwriter, who secured a highly coveted endorsement deal with Taylor Guitars, has opened for Montgomery Gentry, John Anderson, Gretchen Wilson, Blake Shelton, Colt Ford, Justin Moore, Jamie Johnson, Collin Raye, Josh Turner, Trick Pony, Emerson Drive, Chris Cagle, Diamond Rio, Tracy Lawrence and Jason Michael Carroll to name just a few. He’s also performed at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park features karaoke Monday and Thursday night, live bands each Friday and Saturday night in the Music Hall and a host of festivals throughout the year including The Suwannee River Jam, Wanee, Bear Creek Music and Arts Festival, Aura Music and Arts Festival, Springfest, Magnolia Fest, Purple Hatter’s Ball, Old Tyme Farm Days, Memorial Day Weekend, Labor Day Weekend, Suwannee Lights with more than 5 million lights showcasing drive-thru Christmas displays and much, much more.

Doors to the Music Hall open at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday night for dinner, shows begin at 8 p.m. Admission is free. As always, the SOSMP’s SOS Café and Restaurant is open and has available delicious food at regular prices along with nightly specials and a full service bar.
