Fright Dome at Circus Circus has been scaring visitors for the past 11 years and has quickly become one of the country’s premiere Halloween attractions.  This year, they are increasing the number of haunted houses for the first time with a sixth stand-alone maze based on Fortress Features Horror film “The Collection”. The isolation-type maze, appropriately titled “Hotel Argento” will take only upgraded fast pass guests into the depths of the Collector’s lair. Separated from friends and forced to enter alone, guests will forge their way through traps and snares, the Collector’s demented assortment of barely coherent victims, museum-esque displays of lifeless prey and much more — all while being hunted themselves. Will they make it out… or will they become the next victim added to his meticulous collection?

Owner and creator of the Fright Dome, Jason Egan, spoke about the new collaboration. “We’ve always had one of the top haunted attractions in the nation and I have been able to team up with amazing movie partners for incredible themes over the years. I couldn’t think of a better fit for our isolation-style haunted house, or for any haunted house for that matter, than the story behind THE COLLECTOR. The overall premise behind the movie is every horror fan’s worst nightmare- being singled out and hunted by a devious villain. I’m thrilled that our fans have embraced this event every year allowing us to grow and make this year truly the most ominous yet.”

The 2013 season of Fright Dome kicked off last night with a star-studded black carpet event.  This year Fright Dome’s official charity will be the NSPCA.  $1 of each ticket sold every Sunday will be donated to the charity and the NSPCA was on-hand for the opening showcasing some of the great dogs they have up for adoption.  Fright Dome’s Jason Egan and his wife adopted a great dog during the black carpet event last night.

Local celebrities turned out to support both the Fright Dome and the NSPCA.  “Evil Dead: The Musical” was one of the local productions to support the event.  The shows producer/director Sirc Michaels said “The Nevada SPCA has done a lot for animals in this community, and when they asked us to walk the black carpet at the Fright Dome for them, it seemed like the perfect fit for us. Just about everyone involved in the show has pets, and we understand the need to show support for a charity like NSPCA. We encourage everyone to do what they can to support no-kill shelters in the community.”Performers from other local shows “Vegas: The Show”, “Jabbawockeez”, “Pin-up”, “Jersey Boys” and comedian Murray Sawchuck also came out to show their support.
