CFM News Entertainment Weekly To Host Huge Events At 2015 Comic Con

Entertainment Weekly will explode onto Comic-Con 2015 across all platforms; print, video, radio, and social media, making the EW Comic-Con Studio at the Hard Rock Hotel the ultimate talent destination. EW.com will deliver non-stop video content and commentary from the convention, offering fans intimate access to the pulse of the city, a close-up look at the memorable costumes that superfans wear, and a window into the after-hours action that makes Comic-Con such a unique event. Viewers can also get in on the festival action while EW’s award-winning writers and editors interview the TV and film industries’ biggest names in the EW Comic-Con Studio sponsored by LG G4.

The EW Comic-Con Studio and LG G4 Hospitality Suite will be a one-stop shop for the leading TV and film stars to promote their upcoming projects. For the third year, EW Radio on SiriusXM (channel 105), will air live interviews and coverage with morning show hosts Dalton Ross and Jessica Shaw, and News & Notes host Julia Cunningham with EW Senior Writer Kyle Anderson.

 

Entertainment Weekly will also expand its already impressive social footprint at Comic-Con this year through a partnership with the geek-centric pop culture platform, Moviepilot. Moviepilot,www.moviepilot.com, a leading entertainment fan site with more than 25 million unique visitors each month and 29 million Facebook fans – with an audience that skews young (80% aged 35 and under) – offers an easy to navigate open-posting model, giving fans a voice with mass audiences and building the next generation of entertainment tastemakers. 2015 also marks the third edition of “Inside Comic-Con” an EW bonus issue, which will be distributed on the ground in San Diego throughout the weekend and can be purchased beginning Thursday, July 7on all tablet devices. The bonus issue is a must-read guide for the passionate, engaged and influential Comic-Con attendee, and will feature all the scoop on the hottest movies, comics and TV including a “Comic-Con To-Do List” by Conan O’Brien. Plus, EW’s always popular Comic-Con preview double issue, which will be printed on new and improved paper stock, will hit nationwide newsstands July 3rd.

 

No Comic-Con experience would be complete without EW’s legendary closing night party on Saturday evening, July 11. The poolside fete will once again take place at FLOAT at the Hard Rock Hotel and will attract some of Hollywood’s biggest film and television talent in a celebration of all things pop culture. This year’s highly anticipated party will feature activations from sponsors HBO, Honda, Bud Light Lime and Bud Light Ritas, along with tunes from DJ Michelle Pesce.
