You have an awesome game idea, now it is time to turn your idea into a business.

You need the obvious components to launch a indie video game studio.
An artist that can interpret your ideas.
   A programmer.
   A designer.
   A music composer.
   A publicist.

And the one thing that all businesses need.

Location, Location, Location

Let me tell you a store and about how much location matters. Several years ago a company researched an area for a new restaurant. It was an awesome restaurant, but the expected customers never showed up. Before the awesome restaurant was built, potential customers had to drive several miles to eat out. Why weren’t they coming to the new, awesome, closer restaurant? The company did everything right….almost.

This was a family restaurant and the one thing that the researchers didn’t check was surrounding businesses. LOL There was a strip club next to the family restaurant. It was a vile place with drug dealers in the parking lot nightly. There was a fight at the club. It spilled into the parking lot. The fight became a free-for-all that left behind puddles of blood and over 20 people in jail.

Recap: Good idea, excellent food, reasonable prices.

The problem was rather simple. The community they intended to serve was on the other side of the Sacramento river and there was no bridge.

Here is the point. When my son graduated with a degree in video game design, I spoke with one of his teachers. My question was, “Should he get a master’s degree”. He said, “No.” His answer surprised me.

He said that my son should develop video games that could be played on Facebook. I was confused and my son was insulted.

Turns out his teacher was saying Location, Location, Location.

When you joined a game, Facebook would invite all of your friends. It was automatic and would spread exponentially. If you were starting your own indie video game studio it was free adverting!

Phone apps are great, but your app is hidden away, buried within thousands of similar apps. Your friend might try it, love it and never think to invite his friends to join him playing.

When you start your indie video game studio, if you have a lot of money to advertise and drive people to your game then you can select where you want to publish.

If you don’t have much money to launch your indie video game consider other platforms. If you can launch on more than one platform your advertising will allow you to find more potential players.

Ask questions and good luck.

Zombie With A Shotgun  from Writer Director: Hilton Ariel Ruiz

Are you tired of the same old zombie projects where the humans need to survive the zombie apocalypse or when humans fight each other and the story isn’t about the zombies at all???

ZOMBIE WITH A SHOTGUN is the feature adaptation of the popular web series of the same name. Aaron and Rachel are on the run due to the fact that Aaron is infected by what seems to be a zombie virus. As the story unfolds, they find that there is more to this infection than it seems. For some reason, he has not developed the full zombie virus. He seems to be trapped in a transitional phase which grants him certain abilities. One of them is the ability to communicate with other zombies. This makes Aaron a valuable pawn as he’s being pursued by shadowy figures with ulterior motives. Now he must stay alive (or undead) long enough to figure out the source of his infection!

Zombie with a Shotgun is that zombie film where all the rules we know about zombie films go right out the window.

In this Zombie film, the zombie will be the hero and it will have others (zombies) to help out on the war against the humans. The story follows Aaron who isn’t sure if he is infected with the zombie virus or some other infection. He takes this journey with his girlfriend Rachel and his shotgun where they both find out the deep secrets among the zombie virus and their love life.

This project will have what Zombie and Horror fans have been waiting for…

We would love for you to see how this all started when Zombie with a Shotgun was first created into a web-series. Please take a look.

John Sebastian singer, songwriter and the voice of the Loving Spoonful greeting fans at the State Theatre in Red Bluff, CA.

When people hear good music, it makes them homesick for something they never had, and never will have. E. W. Howe

There was a storm the night John Sebastian appeared at the State Theatre in Red Bluff, CA. It rained one day in February other than that it hadn’t here rained since January. After a blistering NorCal summer of 100+ degree temperatures, it was suddenly 60 F and we were freezing.  My husband and I arrived half expecting them to say that John Sebastian had canceled. We had purchased online tickets and we (I) did think about staying home. I have no closed in shoes and the street around the theatre flooded. lol, Red Bluffians can handle 115 F, but rain…

John Sebastian’s voice seduces your senses. It caresses your ears. It is both elegant and earthy. It is like biting into fine chocolate complex, buttery, creamy smooth that melts in your mouth. Yes, I said it, chocolate. Did I expect the same voice at 72?  No, I didn’t. My husband and I went from pleasantly surprised to amazed. Can’t speak for my husband, but his voice  is still enchanting to me.

In the olden days, the most you could get at a Loving Spoonful or John Sebastian concert was a contact high. Now concert goers expect t-shirts, hats and CDs waiting for them in the lobby. Sebastian had CDs, but ran out. It was comical. The word rippled back through the crowd, over and over we heard, “What do you mean he is out of CDs? ”  Several people, including us, were left roaming aimlessly around the lobby, money clutched in our hot little hands.

John Sebastian performed for an hour and a half, he took us on a trip. Beavis and Butthead into my head and said, “Heheh, trip.” What was I saying before they interrupted me?  Sebastian took us through our history with his music. He is an impressive storyteller.

He was gentle with his description of how black people were treated during the Loving Spoonful’s toured with the Supremes. It was the 1960s. People were giving lip service to desegregation. The Loving Spoonful opened for the Supremes? My mind is still trying to reconcile the music. Two completely different kinds of songs. There were still radio stations that played “colored” music. I know that because I listened to one. The “tour” bus they were in was a converted school bus. Some of the arrangements for motel rooms didn’t work out when the owner found out about the colored folks on the bus on the bus. They would end up sleeping on the bus. Years later after a rehearsal, Diana Ross spotted him at a table and called out, “Didn’t I sleep with you on a bus in Arkansas.”

Bad celebrity experiences have curbed my enthusiasm for meeting them. In fact, I changed my decision to buy tickets a few times. Celebrities can have one persona on stage another in person.  Gallagher is an ass.  Gallagher was hateful a child! You could see the child’s eyes tearing. We have never watched another Gallagher special.

John Sebastian is exactly how we hoped he would be with fans, both kind and generous with his time. After the show, he autographed programs and posed for selfies. My selfie helped the pain of leaving without merchandise.

For photos of the concert check out the Red Bluff State Theatre on Facebook.

Beef N Brew Red Bluff, CA

Beef and Brew Red Bluff CA 2016 Rolling Hills Casino

Rolling Hills Casino “Shepherd’s Pie” was wonderful. The chef promised to add it to the menu if they won the Best Appetizer Contest again this year.

Red Bluff is a small town in northern California. It is just the right size for community events. People are polite and still say, excuse me.

Tonight there was a whole lot of beer and a whole lot of people having fun.

We do like cows. If you have seen the 1994  movie “8 Seconds” or followed the career of Lane Frost you have seen parts of Red Bluff. Lane Frost was the only one that could stay on Red Rock the bull for 8 seconds. Our bull.

The story of Beef N Brew

It was brainstorming that started with a need to liquidate an overstock of monogrammed wine glasses; it was magic and a huge leap that turned the thought process into one of Red Bluff’s and the North state’s most popular craft brew and beef tasting events, Beef ‘N Brew.

In the spring of 2009 the Tehama County CattleWomen, (TCCW) and the Downtown Red Bluff Business Association (DRBBA) joined talents and efforts to promote downtown businesses and the local beef industry. More of the story.

I don’t like beer.
My husband thought with all those types a beer that there would be one that I liked.
He was wrong.
It turns out that beer with different flavors, in those beautiful bottle, brewed by very nice people… still tastes like beer.
I don’t like beer.
My husband said the beers were very good and there was something profoundly wrong with my taste buds.

The beef appetizers is where I excelled! The food was both delicious and plentiful.

We both thought the best part Beef N Brew was the people.
We visited shops for the first time. The main street is Main Street. The traffic downtown is heavy and sadly we have stopped visiting the shops.
OK, I admit we think 7 cars is a traffic jam but it is a busy part of town.

Red Bluff is constantly changing. The dress shops and shoe store have disappeared. The antique shops have given way to beautiful boutique stores. Tonight the stores invited everyone to sample various beers, buy unique items and browse to our hearts content.

This is part of my articles “A Year In A Life Living Next To A Volcano“. If you have an event you would like for me to cover contact me Email:RosalitaMoog  @ Twitter: Facebook:

Google Street View protects cows identity.

Google snapped this couple on the way to the mooo-vies.

According to, the cow was photographed by Google’s cameras at Coe Fen, Cambridge, and “seemingly given the same treatment humans receive for privacy reasons.”

After continuing media attention the owner was asked, “Was it mad?” about being splashed over the internet he replied, “Well she wasn’t very happy about it.

The cow said the attention has turned into an udder drag and she feels the cow puns have been milked for all they are worth.

A spokesman for Google said: “We thought you were pulling the udder one when we herd the moos, but it’s clear that our automatic face-blurring technology has been a little overzealous.

“Of course, we don’t begrudge this cow milking its five minutes of fame.”

Movie Review: Ice Age Collision Course

Manny, Diego, and Sid join up with Buck to fend off a meteor strike that would destroy the world.

Manny, Diego, and Sid join up with Buck to fend off a meteor strike that would destroy the world.

Ice Age: Collision Course part five of the successful digital animation series, begins in the beginning. The very beginning. Scrat, the prehistoric, squirrel, animal thing that has his heart set on cracking a giant acorn is in deep space.  Scrat’s breakout appearance in Ice Age (2002) made him the uncontested star of the series. His futile attempts to crack his acorn are reminiscent of the golden age of animation, not old fashioned but fast paced, slapstick, physical comedy. His wild, crazy, starving, nervous energy never gets old and the succulent insides of the acorn continues to be out of his reach.

At times I think, “Is it the movie or me?” This is one of those times. Digging around the internet to see what other reviewers had to say I came across this jewel . It really did make me laugh out loud.

In Ice Age: Collision Course, an asteroid is hurtling toward Earth, threatening to destroy its inhabitants. After 15 minutes of watching this moribund, unimaginative sequel, I was rooting for the asteroid.

Me too Mr. Tremblay, me too. I did have to Google “moribund”. Merriam‑Webster definition is: no longer active or effective : close to failure. : very sick : close to death. That does describe how this sequel feels.

Scrat’s bumbling lands him in a frozen cave, crashing with his acorn into an abandoned spaceship. Astrological history begins to happens after he is flung around space trying to stay in the spacecraft while maintaining control of the acorn.

Spoilers below the cast gallery.

Ice Age: Collision Course continues with Scrat’s very own version of the big bang, barreling through space ultimately creating our solar system and endless space debris.

Life on snowy prehistoric earth, has been good to our old friends: Sid the neurotic lisping ground sloth (John Leguizamo), Diego the grumpy saber-toothed tiger (Denis Leary), and Manny the woolly mammoth (Ray Romano).  Ellie (Queen Latifah) and Manny’s daughter, Peaches (Keke Palmer), is now engaged to Julian (Adam Devine). It doesn’t take long to find out, fifty’s sitcom style, that Manny and Ellie are not happy with their future doofus son-in-law. The sitcom continues with Ellie being disappointed that Manny had forgotten their anniversary.

Scrat, still floating around in space, sets off a meteor shower with one very large purple-flaming rock speeding toward earth. Their sitcom problems are forgotten when the realize they need to find cover. Then the story becomes a tangle of  subplots and characters.

Buck, the one-eyed weasel voiced by Simon Pegg, returns from the third “Ice Age” film, to explain what is happening and how they can stop it.  Using a 2001: A Space Odyssey monolith as his map, he guides them to the valley where meteors have wiped out previous species that inhabited the earth.

  • Opossum twins, Crash voiced by Sean William Scott and Eddie voiced by Josh Peck, discover static electricity and become one of the highlights of  the film.
  • Too sophisticated for children to dull for adults.
  • So many subplots so little time. It was disorganized.
  • 50 minutes in Grandma Sloth kidnapping is laugh out loud funny.
  • Wonderful cast and some good lines.
  • The mammoth courtship and marriage was just stupid.

Ice Age: Collision Course has so many subplots and characters that you may need a score card.

Is the acorn smaller?

Dancing With The Stars is usually a pleasant way to spend the evening watching gorgeous men and beautiful women…dancing. Monday night’s episode exploded with activity and not in a good way.

Ryan Lochte brought out the protesters. The disgraced Olympic swimmer danced with Cheryl Burke and was receiving their scores when two men rushed the stage.

Twitter and Instagram comments were split on whether not they have sympathy for Lochte.  Some think it is too soon for him to be in the spotlight.

Some comments were funny, some were rude and a few were downright sweet.

Lochte is reportedly heartbroken over the incident. I am heartbroken over Derek Hough being  partnered with Marilu Henner
