Movie Review: Brigsby Bear

The show “Brigsby Bear Adventures” is a children’s television program produced for an audience of one: James Pope. When the series abruptly ends, Pope’s life changes forever as he sets out to finish the story line himself. To do that, he must learn how to cope with the realities of a new world that he knows nothing about.

When Atsushi Hashimoto was a kid, he loved role-playing games. He’d settle in front of the television for hours, controller in hand, lost in quests full of magical spells and powerful evils. He was particularly enamored with the works of Squaresoft, now known as Square Enix, the developer behind 16-bit classics like Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger. As he grew older, classic-style Japanese RPGs largely went out of fashion, replaced by a combination of big-budget action games and smaller mobile titles. But Hashimoto never forgot about the games that helped define his relationship with the medium. In 2014 he had the chance to bring them back as the director at Square Enix’s Tokyo RPG Factory studio.

Last year, under Hashimoto’s guidance… Continue reading…

Microsoft first revealed its plans to bring Android and iPhone phones closer to Windows 10 earlier this year, and now the company is letting public testers play with the new features. In a new Windows 10 preview (build 16251) released today, Android users will be able to test a new “Microsoft Apps” application that links a phone to a PC. Microsoft hasn’t revealed when iPhone users will be able to test similar functionality, so it’s Android only for now.

Windows 10’s latest preview links an Android phone to a PC

The link will enable new cross-device features, including the ability to share a link from a mobile directly to a Windows 10 PC. It’s the first of many features Microsoft is planning to closely align Android and iOS to Windows 10 … Continue reading…

My new phone. The Samsung S8 in orchid something.

There was that feeling that my [amazon_textlink asin=’B01LWWCPZG’ text=’Samsung S6 Edge Plus ‘ template=’ProductLink’ store=’cfmmusscean03-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’6b62662a-6502-11e7-9dc6-3b29e18f1443′]would be pried from my cold dead hand, then I saw the [amazon_textlink asin=’B06Y1548ZS’ text=’Samsung S8 Plus ‘ template=’ProductLink’ store=’cfmmusscean03-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’9bfabbed-6502-11e7-884c-1d9831b5adb0′]commercial. It only took one time seeing the Samsung S8 filming a shark to make my eyes wander.  Let me repeat that, a man in a shark cage recording a shark! It filled my little photographer heart with joy. Who wouldn’t want to be filming inside a shark cage? While being swept up in the excitement of a water proof phone, my husband pointed out that 1. When we were in the Bahamas I was nervous about snorkeling. Sharks would make things a lot scarier. 2. It was a shark, they bite. 3. Sharks, bite. He didn’t mention 4. which would be, that based on my past experiences if  a shark cage failed it would be me inside and the shark would bite me and swallow my new phone.

I wonder if my phone insurance would cover sharks.

The Samsung S2 survived soooo many toilet dunks! It was going to be my cellphone forever. My Samsung S2 is now our car camera. It might be the best phone I have ever owned. It connects to the house wiflies and becomes a palm sized tablet.

It turns out that I didn’t have to give up my [amazon_textlink asin=’B014A5SNBI’ text=’Samsung S6 Edge Plus’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’cfmmusscean03-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’aa37902d-6501-11e7-b282-0f5a3254f745′] either.  We were entitled to another line.  I love T-Mobile. Kelsey spent most of her day explaining every option available to us and answered endless questions, even stupid questions, knowledgeably and with kindness. We go to the T-Mobile store in the Mt. Shasta Mall in Redding, CA. She is one of those co-workers that every company wants! Even about importing the home phone number to the S6.

It has been impossible for me to give up the house phone. We rarely use it but it has been our home number for probably 20 years. Giving it up meant the loss of the phones in our home! If you are in the bedroom, your cellphone will always ring in the family room. We found out you can go to [amazon_textlink asin=’B07237Z2XK’ text=’Amazon.com’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’cfmmusscean03-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’8ffc0714-6505-11e7-86fd-9d095d587875′] and buy an interface that allows you to use a cellphone with your house phones. I am keeping my beloved [amazon_textlink asin=’B071PBHS14′ text=’Samsung S6 Edge Plus’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’cfmmusscean03-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’cbb703a0-6505-11e7-aca8-9fa2e9248243′] and connecting it to the house with the [amazon_textlink asin=’B002YWMALY’ text=’Xtreme Technologies Xlink BT Bluetooth Gateway’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’cfmmusscean03-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’f69744fc-6505-11e7-95a6-7dd3c41208d8′].

I hope the Samsung S8 lives up to my expectations and that I am never bitten by a shark. (I know what you are thinking, a shark bite scar would be kind of awesome. It really would. Especially if I was visiting my dear friends at indie gaming studio Primordial Echo which is in AUSTRALIA! Visit Australia AND a shark bite scar my son would be soooo jealous. *insert evil laugh*)

Privacy’s a rarity these days, and your beloved social media sites are largely to blame for that. But there are things you are doing on those sites that are making the situation even worse.

Facebook asks for your life story. Think before you fill out everything. If you acknowledge your mother and your mother posts her maiden name you have given up everything but your social security number.  If a friend plays a game app he or she gives them access to your information. It isn’t as private as you think. Check your settings regularly, Facebook is constantly changing.   R.M.

Rotten Tomatoes critics gave Baywatch 19%  the audience gave it 70%.
Critics Average Rating: 4.1/10 Fresh: 29  Rotten 122
Rotten Tomatoes explained the R rating as follows  (for language throughout, crude sexual content, and graphic nudity)

According to a  report from Deadline, insiders blame Rotten Tomatoes. The report states directly:
“The critic aggregation site increasingly is slowing down the potential business of popcorn movies. Pirates 5 and Baywatch aren’t built for critics but rather general audiences, and once upon a time these types of films — a family adventure and a raunchy R-rated comedy — were critic-proof. Many of those in the industry severely question how Rotten Tomatoes computes the its ratings, and the fact that these scores run on Fandango (which owns RT) is an even bigger problem.”

Adding a prefix doesn’t make a word less offensive.

Libatard – a liberal making statements that are false and retarded.  Also spelled libetard and libtard. It isn’t clever or funny. It is offensive and tiresome.

“Spread the Word to End the Word” From the Special Olympics.  the pejorative forms ‘retard’ and ‘retarded’ have been used widely in today’s society to degrade and insult people with intellectual disabilities.

Rather than admitting they were using the  pejorative “retard”  Disclose.tv came up with a disgusting acronym “Trump Acceptance Resistance Disorder”. The even more offensive “TARD” was also mentioned.

The contempt expressed in the word is stupid and thoughtless.

Libatard – meaning Liberal Retard, a person that is very politically correct missing the true point of a discussion or supporting an action that would make the problem they are trying to solve worse , variations libtard as often used on the Alex Jones internet and talk Radio shows
Example: The libatards proposed tax increases to stimulate the economy in this recession

Jeff Jenness Claims to have started using libatard,  “I’m a left leaning moderate now, but unfortunately I think I did in 2004 or 2005. If you search thejeffness in Google, and go to a liberal political forum with lots of posts by me around that time…u will see it used on many occasions.

“Glee” actress Lauren Potter has 1 request for fans: Stop using the ‘R-Word!

Libtard n. Portmanteu of “liberal” and “retard”. Someone who, intoxicated by being knowledgeable and right about politics and economics, forgets that they need to get actual real ordinary people to support them if their agenda is to be advanced. Often but not always rich, well meaning and with good insight to society’s problems, but naive about the mechanics of politics and utterly ignorant about how power actually works.

It’s 2am, you are alone, you turn on the radio and there he is, a DJ playing “Love Songs”.
His deep voice saying,  “Love songs, all night long, love songs.”
When you have the speakers turned up loud enough to scare the cat, he plays THAT song. The one that rips into to you.
What do you hear him saying?  “Love songs, crawl in the bathtub and slit your wrists, love songs.”

Lyrics:
Nothing goes as planned,
Everything will break.
People say goodbye.
In their own special way.

All that you rely on,
And all that you can fake
Will leave you in the morning,
Will find you in the day.

Oh, you’re in my veins,
And I cannot get you out.
Oh, you’re all I taste
At night inside of my mouth.
Oh, you run away,
Cause I am not what you found.
Oh, you’re in my veins,
And I cannot get you out.

Everything will changed,
Nothing stays the same,
Nobody is perfect,
Oh, but everyone’s to blame.

All that you rely on,
And all that you can save
Will leave you in the morning,
Will find you in the day.

Oh, you’re in my veins,
And I cannot get you out.
Oh, you’re all I taste
At night inside of my mouth.
Oh, you run away,
Cause I am not what you found.
Oh, you’re in my veins,
And I cannot get you out.

No, I cannot get you out
No, I cannot get you
Oh no, I cannot get you out,
No, I canot get you…

Everything is dark,
It’s more than you can take
But you catch a glimpse of sunlight,
Shining, shining down on your face.

Oh, you’re in my veins,
And I cannot get you out.
Oh, you’re all I taste
At night inside of my mouth.
Oh, you run away,
Cause I am not what you found.
Oh, you’re in my veins,
And I cannot get you out.

No, I cannot get you out (you’re in my veins)
No, I cannot get you out.
Oh no, I cannot get you..

The new deep space spacecraft will take humans farther into the solar system than we have ever traveled before.

Seen here, the barrel of Orion’s crew module, which arrived at the facility weighing about 12,000 pounds, will be reduced to approximately 880 pounds before it is shipped to NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans. Four of the crew module’s parts are being machined at Ingersoll before they ship for welding and assembly this summer. The crew module is the part of the spacecraft where astronauts will live, work, exercise and eat during their missions beyond the moon.
