“Glee” Cast Visits 2012 Comic Con

It promises to be a heart breaking good bye to the character of Finn Hudson. “I’ve never seen a crew that can’t continue shooting because they’ve left the room sobbing. It was very hard,” said executive producer Ryan Murphy.

“It was really sad. Every day was really hard, but we hung together and it was really good to grieve together.” said cast member

Original “Glee” cast member Heather Morris, who played the often confused cheerleader Brittany gave birth on Saturday to her first child, a boy she named Elijah.

Elijah is the first child Morris 26, and her longtime boyfriend, Taylor Hubbell.  A source said about her pregnancy, “Heather is glowing! She is so happy. She is really excited to be a mom. She is just amazed by the whole experience.”

During a Fitness magazine interview with Morris in 2011 she said, “I want to marry him so bad. That’s what I really care about. I want to marry Taylor and have kids with him. I love acting, but if it affects my relationship, then I won’t continue doing it.”

Heather Morris did not return as the fan-favorite Brittany for the fifth season of “Glee” on Fox.

Glee Christmas Album Vol 2

Review By Subhadra Devan

The cast of the hit TV show Glee leads the band of Yuletide music this year, writes Subhadra Devan

FANS of the hit TV show Glee, should give Glee: The Music: The Christmas Album Vol.2 a moment of wonder. This album has two originals — Extraordinary Merry Christmas, a dance-pop number, and Christmas Eve With You, a pop-country number

Other songs are Santa Baby in the commercial voice of Naya Rivera (Santana), Let It Snow (a boring duet by Darren Criss (Blaine) and Chris Colfer (Kurt) and a high-schoolish Glee rendition of the Geldof et al’s Do They Know It’s Christmas.

Outstanding are Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas by Amber Riley (Mercedes) because her voice suits the song, and Christmas Wrapping by Heather Morris (Brittany), a rippin’ dance-pop number.

Glee Project’s Lindsay Pearce and Alex Newell duet well on Do You Hear What I Hear?, giving it a Broadway sound.

Lea Michele on Joni Mitchell’s River is a big disappointment as she seems to lack vocal depth for the emotion in the song. But kudos for bringing the song, of suffering a loss when others are celebrating, to a new audience.

GLEE’s Gay Garden Goes Too Far

This article is the opinions of Kevin McCullough at TownHall.

“According to a review leaked by Entertainment Weekly on Friday, this coming week’s episode of the hit TV show GLEE is slated to be a “game-changer.”

In terms of content in the “family hour” on network television they are most certainly correct.

The episode portrays sexual interaction between high-school children, who in all honesty, are too young to understand the responsibility of sex, and as nearly every study in America shows, would be far better off waiting to engage in sexual activity for a good 5 to 7 years–not to mention the concept of actually being in a monogamous marital union.”

I’m curious as to what the catalyst is that’s impacting Finn. — Jenn
TIM SAYS: Finn’s bad news involves getting into college.

Is the last scene a montage? And if so, to what song/singers? — @Jam2885
TIM SAYS: Yep, the last scene is a montage. The two couples lying together cut with the West Side Story Blaine/Rachel performance of “One Hand, One Heart.” (SANDRA SAYS: Awww.)

Is the spirit/quality of the first half of season 1 ever going to come back? — @mostly_sleepy
TIM SAYS: This episode is definitely a return to the quality of season 1.

Whether or not it was a good idea, the cast of Fox’s musical television series “Glee” covered 13-year-old Rebecca Black’s poorly received single, “Friday,” which some have called the “worst song ever.”

Glee is getting lovey-dovey this week with the song selections from their Valentines’ Day-themed episode, “Silly Love Songs.”
For the second episode in a row Kevin McHale (Artie) takes a Michael Jackson hit. In his episode, he’s singing “P.Y.T (Pretty Young Thing).” Out of all the males, I think McHale was definitely the right choice to sing this song. His voice has the right tone and flavor to pull this song off. I think it was important for him and the show to not have a carbon-copy vocal, but still manage to keep the essence of the song intact, and I think they succeeded on both levels.

Buoyed by that special Super Bowl episode, an original of Glee on Tuesday helped Fox to win the night among adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and teens, according to early estimates. Glee posted a 4.5 rating/12 share in 18-49 – up 2% versus its last regular original on Dec. 7 – and averaged 11.4 million viewers. Each 18-49 ratings point equals 1.3 million.

Glee was also the highest rated program for the night in 18-49, adults 18-34 and teens. Afterwards, an original of Raising Hope earned a 2.8/8 and 6.7 million, while the premiere of Traffic Light posted a 1.9/5 and 4.5 million. That’s up 19% from Running Wilde’s season average before it was cancelled.

CBS won the night in viewers (16.3 million), with NCIS attracting a 4.2/12 and 20.2 million eyeballs (wow), followed by NCIS: LA (3.5/9, 17 million), and The Good Wife (2.2/6, 11.8 million).  Among 18-49, CBS came in second for the night with a 3.3/9.

NBC was third for the night in the demo (2.6/7) and viewers (7.3 million), with The Biggest Loser: Couples earning a  3.0/8 and 8.3 million. Parenthood got a 1.9/5 and 5.2 million. ABC came in fourth (1.5/4) with disappointing ratings for No Ordinary Family: The drama posted a 1.5/4 – down -17% versus Jan. 18 — and tied its series low. It averaged 5.2 million. V earned a 1.8/5 – up 6% from last week — and 5.3 million viewers, followed by Detroit 1-8-7 (1.3/4, 5.5 million).

A new UK radio station launched yesterday with one objective: all "Glee," all the time.
A new UK radio station launched yesterday with one objective: all “Glee,” all the time.

Gleeks, those uber-fans of Fox’s “Glee,” may be thrilled to learn there’s a radio station that’s devoted to songs from the program, according to a report from Sky News Online.

But given that the radio station, which is based in the U.K.’s Oxford, limits itself to songs from the television program, its play list consists of just 80 songs, the story says. “The response has been very divided. People are either in the Glee camp or they are not. Female listeners love it more than male,” station program director Susan Carter says.

With 178 radio-ready singles to play in a given day. That worked out to only five and a half hours (roughly) of available audio. Even when cut up with commercials, “Glee” doesn’t provide a whole day’s worth of programming.
