ABBACADABRA MADE ITS VEGAS CONCERT DEBUT TO MORE THAN 3,000 FANS OF ABBA MUSIC DURING A RECENT THREE NIGHT ENGAGEMENT AT THE LAS VEGAS HILTON

Last weekend, the tribute band, ABBACADABRA (www.adbacadabra.com), revived the unforgettable sound of the celebrated supergroup, ABBA, at the Las Vegas Hilton Theater June 12-14 to more than 3,000 enthusiastic fans.

Managed by Jerry Greenberg— the former president of Atlantic Records and discoverer of ABBA—along with James Elliott, ABBACADABRA performed a spot-on show featuring 20 hit songs in front of an energetic crowd.  Gary Raffanelli, the front man of the group who has a striking resemblance to Benny Andersson commented, “The three day experience almost seemed imaginary. And appearing in the theater where Elvis actually performed was completely surreal.”

Among the show attendees were renowned Las Vegas entertainers Clint Holmes, one of Sin City’s top celebrity reporters Norm Clarke, singer/Las Vegas resident Rebbie Jackson of the famous Jackson family, original bass player from Paul Revere and The Raiders Phil “Fang” Volk and famed Billy Joel impersonator Michael John. Also coming to show his support was Dick Contino, the prized accordionist/singer who inspired Raffanelli to take music lessons.

ABBACADABRA made its mark during its three-night run at the legendary Hilton Theater. It was a hit for ABBA fans who can never get enough of the music,” said Ira David Sternberg, Las Vegas Hilton’s Vice President of Communications (www.lvhilton.com).

The ensemble, which features Fred Sampson (Bjorn), Christine Shelton (Frida) and Raffanelli’s longtime musical partner Sandra Selby (Agnetha), has been a smash throughout Northern Nevada, performing multiple times at Reno’s Silver Legacy & Grand Sierra Resorts and Lake Tahoe’s Caesars Palace and Harrah’s.
