SPIRIT OF THE SUWANNEE MUSIC PARK, LIVE OAK, FLA – Got nothing to do this weekend? The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park can fix that problem for you with the Kids Music Camp, dinner and dancing with the DJ hits of Stevie D and The Restless Kind band this weekend.

The weekend kicks off Aug. 14 with the three-day Kids Music Camp where kids learn to play a mandolin, guitar, fiddle, African drums or sing. No instrument? Not a problem. Kids ages 5 – 17 are encouraged to come learn about these instruments and how to play them. Parent or guardian MUST be on site during all classes. Classes and the Saturday night cookout for students are free. Kids will present a concert Sunday afternoon, Aug. 16, in the Music Hall.

Friday night Aug. 14 in the Music Hall guests may enjoy dinner and beverages at regular prices from the SOS Café and Restaurant while listening and/or dancing to the DJ hits of Stevie D. Don’t forget those dancing shoes! This new event is sure to please as Stevie D is a well-known radio host in North Florida.

Saturday night in the Music Hall The Restless Kind (TRK) band will entertain. TRK features guitar, fiddle, keyboard, drums, bass, male and female vocals and tight harmonies that add up to one great country music variety show for all ages. It’s no mystery that unique instrumentation is what sets The Restless Kind apart from other bands.

TRK is an exciting force in country music with more than 200 years of combined experience. The hugely entertaining show covers five decades of classic and modern country music, with a healthy dose of classic and southern rock tossed in.

Bring your sweetie, have dinner and dance the night away with this awesome band. You may even want to make reservations and spend the weekend, go canoeing, go horseback riding, hike or shop our Arts and Crafts Village and Country Store. Cabins, RV parking or primitive camping is available. You’ll be glad you came!
