The Hollywood Music In Media Awards (HMMA) announces an exclusive, integral partnership with the newly established Guild Of Music Supervisors (GMS). The GMS membership will participate in reviewing and voting on HMMA music submissions, coordinate panels and mentoring sessions at the Music In Media Interactive Conference (MIMICON), and will officiate the Outstanding Music Supervision categories of the HMMA.  The HMMA web site is the only place on the internet to view GMS information.

The Guild Of Music Supervisors is comprised of the most prominent and successful film, television and multi-media music professionals in the world, dedicated to establishing and promoting the highest performance standards which exemplify and enhance the value of their specialized services within the entertainment and media industries. The GMS mission is to preserve and promote the role of the Music Supervisor as a valuable resource with specific knowledge and unique skill-sets that elevate the creative use of music within the entertainment and media industries and their respective products.

The Hollywood Music In Media Awards will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at the Highlands Nightclub located in the Hollywood & Highland/Kodak Theater complex.  Following the HMMA will be the highly anticipated Music In Media Interactive Conference (MIMICON), taking place November 20-22 at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel, also located in the Hollywood & Highland complex.  The three-day conference will inform, educate, entertain and provide REAL opportunities for conference attendees, featuring top industry luminaries focusing on what artists and entertainment professionals need to know to get their music in film, TV, video games, movie trailers, commercials and other forms of contemporary media. Artists, composers, producers and song-writers will be given the unique opportunity to pitch their work directly to the GMS membership and other elite professionals that place, license, produce and create music.

MIMICON will include panels, seminars, workshops, interactive displays, live performances and one-on-one mentoring sessions with top industry professionals, including high-level members of the Guild Of Music Supervisors.

Early-bird registration for MIMICON is $295 through August 31. Beginning September 1st, the regular registration fee of $495 will be offered.  All interested artists and professionals are encouraged to take advantage of this early registration opportunity.  Special group rates are available and substantial hotel room discounts are offered exclusively to conference attendees.  To register for MIMICON, go to the Hollywood Music In Media Awards website at www.hmmawards.com.
