Mike Mullis’ Kids Under 18 Talent Night –
The weekend begins with Mike Mullis’ Kids Under 18 Talent Night in the Music Hall. Parents….this is a fun, exciting opportunity for your child or children to participate on stage. Rules are – Kids under 18 may perform up to three karaoke songs, do a dance routine to three songs or they play an instrument! It can be any style of music! Each act will have up to 10 minutes to perform! Bring a CD with the songs the child plans to use. Dance routines may have up to 20 dancers! Magic tricks and jump rope routines welcome! 50s Sock Hop with Mike Mullis and his band WhooWheee –
On Saturday night, July 23, enjoy a 50s Sock Hop with a night of costumes and dance styles along with fabulous live 50s music by Mike Mullis and his band WhooWheee in the Music Hall. Wear your favorite 50s costume and come relive the classic hits of yesterday! This show will feature a special guest appearance and 1950s era games, dance, best dressed couple, Hula Hoop, best dressed, trivia and bubble gum blowing contests and more. Enter the 50-50 drawing, the Hula Hoop contest or try your hand at the Limbo contest. Try and keep up with Mike’s wild and wacky version of the Hokey Pokey, and be sure to have your camera ready for the hilarious grapefruit-pantyhose race! 3rd Annual Smokin’ On The Suwannee BBQ Festival –
The 3rd Annual Smokin’ On The Suwannee BBQ Festival, sanctioned by the Florida BBQ Association, will feature professional cook teams July 22-23 from all over the Southeast competing for more than $13,000 in cash and prizes and a chance to qualify for the prestigious Jack Daniels World Championship BBQ contest and the American Royal BBQ contest in Kansas City.
Along with the many family friendly activities offered by the SOSMP will be a Family Fun Zone at the festival including bounce houses, water slides and more. Festival tickets are $2 and may be purchased at the SOSMP entrance gate. Guests may purchase delicious, award winning barbecue from the teams that are vending. Be prepared…you will want to sample more than one vendor’s BBQ!

Music Hall doors open at 5 p.m. for dinner with events beginning at 8 p.m. Admission to the Music Hall is $5 per person with the $5 applied towards your evening’s tab at the SOS Café and Restaurant. The restaurant will have available delicious food and beverages at regular prices as well as weekend specials.
