ACTIVITIES

COSTUME THEME NIGHTS: “PARTY ANIMAL” & “WARM & FUZZY”

Get out your best costumes for Friday and Saturday night because costume themes are back! Friday night it’s a “Party Animal” theme. A party animal is a human that has a propensity to being drawn into a celebratory environment. Whether you chose to be Spuds McKenzie, John Belushi, Miss Piggy or any other fun creation, show us your best party animal Friday night. Saturday night, as you remember from last year, will again be “Warm & Fuzzy.” To us, warm and fuzzy is a message of friendliness or love to someone expressing a kind message to show gratitude toward one person or a whole group of people. Express your friendliness and love for this musical community by wearing your favorite warm and fuzzy gear on Saturday night. Thank you for being creative and adding more color to the Bear Creek landscape.

ZACH DEPUTY CHARITY DISC GOLF TOURNAMENT TO AID CONTINUING TROPICAL STORM DEBBY RELIEF EFFORTS

Please join our friend, artist Zach Deputy, as he hosts a charitable disc golf tournament on the fantastic 18-hole Magnolia Disc Golf Course on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 10 a.m. Proceeds will benefit victims of Tropical Storm Debby through the work of Love INC. in Live Oak, Fl. On June 24, 2012, Tropical Storm Debby settled over north Florida for four days, dumping more than 25 inches of rain in some areas of Suwannee, Hamilton and Columbia counties. The Suwannee River rose to near record flood levels and dozens of sinkholes developed around those counties, destroying many businesses and homes while making roads impassible. Some 1500 families were flooded out of their homes – many left without shelter, cars, clothes, food or any worldly possessions. The flood affected over 10,000 other people throughout the tri- counties and many are still not back in their homes. For your $30 entry fee, you will be entered into the event and receive a commemorative Bear Creek disc. Sign up information will be announced soon. The 1st hole is right behind the Store of the Village.

Bear Creek and The Suwannee Music Foundation are proud to host the annual food drive to support Love INC. in Live Oak, Fl. Bring five or more cans or non-perishable food items to the food drive tent and receive a commemorative 2012 Christian Jaxtheimer festival poster. Thank you for your generosity.

Kerrie Sandefur is looking forward to another great year teaching yoga at Bear Creek! A gentle yoga class, suitable for all levels of experience, will be offered Saturday and Sunday morning in the Meadow at 10 a.m. You are invited to stay after class to find out your body type and receive tips on how to maintain year round peace, health and happiness. A fun and interactive kid’s class will take place Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Kid’s Tent.
