SPIRIT OF THE SUWANNEE MUSIC PARK, LIVE OAK, FLA – It’s a really BIG week coming up at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) in Live Oak, Fla! It’s the 25th anniversary of the Suwannee River (gospel) Jubilee June 13-15, Gospel Music’s Premiere Camping & Concert Experience held each June in the SOSMP’s Amphitheatre!

DJ Russell Howard will hold court in the Music Hall Friday and Saturday evening, June 14-15, with your favorite dancing music while Ted “Teddy Mac Elvis” McMullen will have karaoke Monday, June 10, and Thursday, June 13, in the Music Hall!

Teddy Mac Elvis starts the week out Monday with karaoke in the Music Hall where anyone can take the mic and sing your favorite songs. Ted takes his turn also to entertain the large crowd that gathers then and again Thursday night.

A free bean supper and gospel sing Wednesday evening kicks off the Jubilee for early arrivers with chapel services led each morning Thursday – Saturday by the Crofts, one of the greatest gospel music writing teams in America.

Thursday, June 13, in the Amphitheatre the 25th anniversary celebration of the Suwannee River Jubilee gets underway with host The Dixie Echoes along with Ken Turner & Valor III, The Ward Sisters and The Rebels Quartet.

Friday evening it’s the Dixie Echoes, the Inspirations and the ever famous Chuck Wagon Gang.

The last day of the celebration is Saturday with The Dixie Echoes, The Diplomats and The Freedom Hill Quartet. Talented groups performing live to show how wonderful gospel music can be. Tickets at the gate are $15 per night per person, children 12 and under free. Advance tickets $30/three days or $12 daily. Only phone orders still available at 850-477-6391. Bring your outdoor seating.

The Jubilee is held rain or shine – no refunds or exchanges – gate opens at 5:30 p.m., concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. nightly. This is Southern Gospel’s only all live performance event for 2013!

Activities for all ages each day, including open mic performances in the picking sheds (Friday & Saturday), bring your instruments and play and sing with friends and members of performing artists. There’s also hiking, fishing, canoeing, golf cart rental available, swimming for over night guests and more at the beautiful campground on the banks of the Suwannee River!

In the Music Hall, DJ Russell Howard will keep the music coming Friday and Saturday night for your listening and dancing pleasure.
Doors to the Music Hall open at 5 p.m. and shows begin at 7 p.m. Monday and Thursday night; doors open at 6 p.m. and shows begins at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. As always, the SOSMP’s SOS Café and Restaurant will be open during events and have available delicious food at regular prices along with nightly specials and a full service bar. Dancing encouraged!

The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is located at 3076 95th Drive, Live Oak, Fla, 4.5 miles south of Interstate 75 and 4.5 miles north of Interstate 10 off US 129. Keep an eye out for the SOSMP sign and white painted board fence!
