The Latest installment in the “Fast & Furious” franchise, “Furious 7” had its Hollywood premiere last night at the Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Blvd. Stars Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, and Luke Evans were all on-hand to toast the film’s release.
The event was bittersweet for those in attendance as they lost one of the films stars, Paul Walker, halfway through filming due to a car accident in the Los Angeles area. Walker’s brothers stepped in to double for the star in order for filmmakers to be able to finish the film. While all of the stars were proud of the film and happy to be meeting with fans and press, there was a notable sadness hanging over the evening.
The film, which sees Jason Statham playing Deckard Shaw, who is bent on vengeance against Vin Diesel (Dominic Toretto) and his gang after their defeat of his brother is film 6, has mind-blowing car chases and special effects and delivers more of what the numerous fans of this franchise crave.
“Furious 7” rolls into theatres April 3rd.
