If you happened to be in the Philadelphia area last weekend, you might have heard what you thought was thunder…or an earthquake…..but no, it was actually the deafening screams greeting “Doctor Who” stars David Tennant and Billie Piper at their appearance at the Wizard World Comic Con.
Fans stood in line for hours to get into the packed Q&A panel and some were overcome with emotion at being able to ask their fave Doctor and fave Companion their burning questions.
The stars even had a funny “popularity” battle with “Doctor Who” Stars Matt Smith, Alex Kingston and Freema Agyeman who were appearing at the same time at a convention in Australia. Tennant and Piper sent the trio a video of them claiming they were “killing it here in Philly. They love us here in Philly. I think they prefer us to you. That is very much the vibe we are getting.” Smith responded with a video shot in front of rows of fans Down Under saying “We see your video and raise your video, dude.”

David Tennant and Billie Piper were quite possibly the biggest draw of the Philadelphia Wizard World Convention, with some fans being able to purchase a “VIP” experience which entitled them to be in the front of the line for photo and autograph sessions and a guaranteed seat in the front of the Q&A Panel.
