SPIRIT OF THE SUWANNEE MUSIC PARK, LIVE OAK, FLA – It’s the Suwannee River Jubilee, Willie Wannabe Contest and famous comedian Dale Jones at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) this weekend!
Thursday night, Oct. 1, three days of great entertainment gets underway with the Fall Suwannee River Jubilee. Set to entertain Thursday – Saturday nights with the best Southern gospel music anywhere are the Dixie Echoes, Charlotte Ritchie, Down East Boys, Naomi and the Segos and Mark Trammel Trio. If it’s great Southern Gospel Music you love, this is the place and the time! Food and beverage vendors will be at this event in the amphitheatre! Three-day tickets are available at the gate at $38 per person or $15 per person for single day tickets. Gates to the Jubilee open at 5:30 p.m. each evening, concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. Bring your fold-up chairs! Bring the entire family for the best in family entertainment.
Friday night, Oct. 2, it might get rowdy! It’s the Willie Wannabe Contest to find the best Willie Nelson look-a-like and best sings-like-Willie! Come help us select the winners! Willie Nelson, Big Kenny, James Otto, Josh Thompson, David Cooler, Mike Mullis and the Mercy Mountain Band are coming to the SOSMP for the Oct. 16-17 Down on the Suwannee Music Festival. The winner of the singing portion of the Willie Wannabe Contest will open the Oct. 16 show and perform three songs.
Admission this Friday night for the Willie Wannabe Contest is $5. However, FRIDAY NIGHT ONLY, the $5 admission charge can be applied to food and beverage purchases.
Saturday night, Oct. 3, famous comedian Dales Jones will tickle your funny bone all evening. Dale Jones was a semi-finalist on season six of the hit NBC series “Last Comic Standing.” He has also has been on Fox TV and in the movie “Out of Time” with Denzel Washington. He can be heard on two nationally syndicated radio shows, “The Bob and Tom Show” and “The Bob and Sheri Show.” He was one of eight finalists in “The Great Canadian Laugh Off” was also invited to perform at The Boston Comedy Festival. Get ready to rid yourself of stress when Dale Jones takes the stage! Laughing is his business, and he’ll have you joining him!
Admission Saturday night is $10.
As always, the SOS Café and Restaurant will have available each night during events delicious foods and beverages at regular prices. There are lots of new food items to tempt you so bring the family out and enjoy!
