Three months and 800 million dollars in box office receipts since its release in July, Warner Brothers’ “Inception” proved to have penetrated the psyches of moviegoers worldwide as it garnered six awards at Spike TV’s “SCREAM 2010,” the first and only event honoring the best in fantasy, sci-fi, comics and horror.
With its acclaimed screenwriter and director Christopher Nolan on hand, the psychological science fiction thriller took home acting awards for its stars Leonardo DiCaprio (Best Science Fiction Actor), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Best Supporting Actor) and Tom Hardy (Breakout Performance), “Fight Scene of the Year” for its unforgettable Anti-Gravity Elevator battle, “Best Science Fiction Movie” and, the night’s top honor, “The Ultimate Scream.” The star-studded, one-of-a-kind event was held at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and premieres on Spike TV on Tuesday, October 19 (9:00 – 11:00 PM, ET/PT).
