Fans of “Firefly” stood in line for hours, some lining up at early as 8pm Thursday July 12, to see the 10th anniversary panel being held for the beloved television show. Those who did were not disappointed. Around 3am, for those too anxious to sleep, the fans received a pleasant surprise as Adam Baldwin (Who plays Jayne Cobb on the show) and Joss Whedon (the creator) walked the line greeting everyone.
Thousands of fans waited to see the whole crew and thousands more were turned away as Ballroom 20 hit its capacity by 9am.
The panel consisted of Jose Molina (Not pictured), Summer Glau, Alan Tudyk, Adam Baldwin, Sean Maher, Tim Minear, Joss Whedon, and Nathan Fillion . It was a rollercoaster of emotions to all those who lucky enough to gain admission. The cast and crew took everyone down memory lane as they shared stories of how they all met and grew to care for each other. Whedon confirmed that Firefly was his favorite cast and crew and a secondary family to him.
When questioned on other projects, Whedon was the only one to comment. He confirmed that Dr. Horrible 2 is in the works but would not comment on Avengers 2 at this time.
