TYRANTS HELD OVER FOR MORE THERAPY AT TAIX’S 321 LOUNGE
These guys are great check them out on myspace
WHO: Tyrants in Therapy (www.tyrantsintherapy.com), a duo composed of Abbe Kanter and Michael J. They call their shows “Neo Nightclub” because it recalls the glamorous 30s and 40s style nightclubs that held sway in L.A. decades before the Tyrants were born. This is the third month in a row TIT has been held over at the cozy yet plush 321 Lounge at Taix since the release of their new High Class Trash CD. Nine years in the making, the massively entertaining 21-track opus includes vivid and often hilarious takes on love, sex, and just about everything else including the environment, astrology, censorship, and cowboys. Bloggers are praising the long-awaited CD: “Tyrants: please don’t make us wait another decade for your next record” pleads one reviewer on cdbaby.com. Another adds, “… the Tyrants have mastered an off-kilter sensibility…” which is putting it mildly. Show dates below.
WHAT: Monday, August 17 and continuing every Monday night in August, TIT brings their unique brand of music, mirth and mayhem to Taix’s 321 Lounge, performing a mix of classic and current material from their new CD, High Class Trash.
