HOLLYWOOD MUSIC & MEDIA AWARDS Now Accepting 2010 Nomination Submissions
The Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA) announces the organization is now accepting music submissions for nomination consideration. Submissions are accepted exclusively through the HMMA web site (www.hmmawards.com)
The 2010 HMMA ceremony will take place Thursday, November 18 at The Highlands, located in the Hollywood & Highland / Kodak Theatre Complex in Hollywood. The accompanying Music In Media Interactive Conference(MIMICON) is scheduled to occur Friday through Sunday, November 19-21, once again at the world-renown Renaissance Hollywood Hotel & Spa. Registration opportunities for the conference will be announced in the coming months.
After a tremendously successful 2009 HMMA event, boasting over 1000 attendees, and the equally impressive 2009 MIMI Conference, the HMMA organization has received unprecedented raves and accolades from the global artistic community and industry alike for its unique recognition of the continually evolving music business. Here is just one of the many unsolicited testimonials from the Best New Composer award recipient:
“I want to share with you the overwhelming response that is a direct result of my winning Best New Composer. This week has been back to back meetings with people who were exposed to my work during the three days of the conference. Agents, Managers, Music Supervisors and even Directors- simply wild! I’m not sure if you really understand how much exposure your event has given me, but it’s surreal,” says film and TV composer Zain Effendi.
The Hollywood Music in Media Awards recognizes and honors the music of visual mediums, the talented individuals responsible for creating and selecting it, and the music of artists, both mainstream and independent, from around the globe. HMMA is the first music awards event to recognize and honor excellence in music supervision and to place video games alongside TV and film in terms of importance. Iconic artists will also be presented with a variety of awards, including an award for Outstanding Career Achievement in honor of their accomplishments and longevity in the entertainment field. The evening will feature live music performances, celebrities appearances, award presentations, an exclusive VIP reception, and a special dinner banquet . The entire event will be shot with multiple HD cameras for digital and cable broadcasts in 17 countries and U.S. territories (120 Million households).
