John Fogerty, an American treasure, achieved fame as the lead singer/songwriter and guitarist in one of the all time great bands, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and has since gone on to a chart-topping solo career. Fogerty and his brother Tom organized the group that would become Creedence in the late 50s. As Creedence, they released nine Top 10 singles, all written by Fogerty, including “Proud Mary,” and earned eight gold albums. Creedence split up in 1972. Fogerty has been a solo act since, putting out his most recent album The Return of the Blue Ridge Rangers, as well as numerous other albums over the years. Fogerty performed at the 2010 Grammys in a tribute to Neil Young Jan. 31. You don’t want to miss this performance!
