I really enjoy his music! It gets my highest rating “This Music Doesn’t Suck” Check out BUCK$ on MySpace. Losillë
BUCK$’ debut single “It’s Been a Long Time,” featuring noted ATL star, Bobby V, has already garnered airplay in a number of major markets including Memphis, TN, Montgomery, AL, Washington, DC, and of course BUCK$’ hometown of Atlanta, GA. The song, due from BUCK$’ forthcoming debut album, is a love letter to the streets and takes inspiration from classic early-90’s hip-hop and R&B and mixes them with BUCK$’ gritty personal touch.
At the age of 15, Buck$ got his start in music with his cousin Pimpin’ of Dem Franchise Boyz. Buck$ eventually became well-known for his work and association with Dem Franchise Boyz and their hits “White Tee“ & “Lean With It“, as well as the Trap Squad hit single “What’s Happening“.
Despite having achieved great credentials in the music industry, his climb to success always left him at a constant state of renewal. Buck$ lost his mother at the tender age of 2, followed by the passing of his father at age 7, leaving him to be raised by his grandmother. Then at age 18, tragedy struck again, when Buck$’ grandmother passed away – leaving him homeless and at the lowest point of his life. Fortunately, Buck$ persevered and continued to concentrate on his passion of music.
In 2006, Buck$’ hard work and determination, not to mention talent for hot beats and hooks, brought him the attention of Frank Liwall, Sandra & James Azor of the Krian Music Group and the opportunity for Buck$ to prove himself as a laudable solo artist. With influences ranging from Nelly and Dr. Dre to Goodie Mob, Buck$’ upcoming album reflects his broad ideals and scope on life. Buck$ already has his fans on the edge of their seats with the certified banger “It’s Been a Long Time” now available at iTunes.
