Fans lined up overnight for a glimpse of their faves at the Comic Con 2011 “Glee” Panel. Appearing before a packed crowd, actors Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina), Harry Shum, Jr. (Mike), Darren Cris (Blaine), and Dot Marie Jones (Coach Beast) were on hand to talk about the new season and the 3-D Movie, which hits theatres this month. They shared some tidbits from the coming season.
The creators didn’t want to keep the cast on the show for years. Cory Monteith (Finn), Lea Michele (Rachel) and Chris Colfer all play seniors on the show and will be graduating in this years’ storyline. The three actors found out about it on twitter! The writers said that they wish to keep the storyline in real time as much as possible.
Chord Overstreet (Sam) was offered a full time part on this coming season, in contrast to what was reported on the internet. He declined to pursue other options. Darren Cris (Blaine) and Dot Marie Jones (Coach Beast) will have larger roles in the coming season.
Fans looking forward to the “Glee: Live 3-D” film won’t have to wait much longer. The film is scheduled to open in theatres in the U.S. on August 12th!
