′Avengers: Endgame′ breaks global movie box office record

Globally, the Marvel Comics superhero film broke the record for the highest opening weekend of all time. The three-hour “Avengers: Endgame” had a wider release than previous record holders. 

The fourth and final installment of the Avengers movie series shattered records at the box office just a day after its release, according to figures provided by producer Walt Disney Company on Saturday.

“Avengers: Endgame” broke the global record by taking $644 million (€576 million) at the box office by the end of Friday. The previous record holder was “Avengers: Infinity War” with $641 million.
