SPIRIT OF THE SUWANNEE MUSIC PARK, LIVE OAK, FLA – The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) in Live Oak, Fla announces Gainesville In The Park July 16-17. Bands from the great Gator city of Gainesville, Fla will include 3rd Stone, The Duppies, Diocious, Moodhosa, D.P., Big Uly, Mr. Magnum and Funkatron. In addition, Gainesville In The Park welcomes rock and roll pioneer Colonel Bruce Hampton and the Quark Alliance to the festivities after their three day run in Florida with 3rd Stone.
Gainesville In The Park is the second installment of a new regional music series hosted by The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. Every month or so, the SOSMP will focus its attention on the diverse music scenes of specific cities in the southeast.
Tickets to Gainesville In The Park are $25 advance for three days of music or $30 at the gate. Also, the SOSMP will offer a $400 cabin and golf cart rental special during this event. Friday night, July 16 the event will be held in the Music Hall. Saturday afternoon and evening the event will continue in the Amphitheater beginning at 4 p.m.
Saturday night North Florida country singer Stephen Combs will entertain guests in a separate event in the Music Hall where admission will be $10 per person. The SOS Café and Restaurant is always open during special events with the Music Hall open on Friday and Saturday nights until 1 a.m., serving dinner until 10 p.m. Breakfast is also available Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as well as lunch and dinner.
Gainesville In The Park music is carefully scheduled to allow guests time to enjoy all the amenities at the best music venue in the South, the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. Those amenities include canoeing, mini and disc golf, horseback riding (stables are available to rent for your own horse), fishing, hiking, jogging, swimming in our pool for overnight guests only, Bubba Slide, golf cart rental, enjoying the Arts and Crafts Village, Store of the Village, SOS Café and Restaurant and just plain relaxing on the banks of the famous Suwannee River underneath the moss-covered oaks.
The SOSMP is located at 3076 95th Drive 4.5 miles north of Live Oak, Fla off US 129 at the famous Suwannee River. The Park is 4.5 miles south of Interstate 75 and 4.5 miles north of Interstate 10 off US 129.

When I was little my mom would let me trick or treat. When we got home, she’d throw away all the candy then take me to the store to pick out whatever I wanted. Then one Halloween a teenager handed me LSD or PCP – what’s the drug that looks like a sticker that you stick to your body and absorb it through your skin? That one. We stopped trick or treating after that.
