SPIRIT OF THE SUWANNEE MUSIC PARK, LIVE OAK, FLA – The weather in North Florida is beautiful, and it’s the perfect time for the 4th Annual Bear Creek Music and Arts Festival at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) in Live Oak, Fla! The festival will be held Nov. 12-14 with a pre-pre party Nov. 10 and a pre-party Nov.11. This huge musical experience is expected to draw thousands of music lovers from all over the United States.

Lettuce will celebrate the Music Of Maceo Parker, Fred Wesley and Pee Wee Ellis in a once in a lifetime set of music Sunday, Nov. 14, honoring the distinguished careers of Maceo Parker, Fred Wesley and Pee Wee Ellis. The set will devote 30 minutes to each of their respective careers, including their solo work, time together with James Brown and other work. Maceo, Fred and Pee Wee will play with Lettuce throughout this set.

The pre-pre kick-off for Bear Creek is Wednesday, Nov. 10, with Aquaphonics, Zoogma, Honey Island Swamp Band and The Heavy Pets. An incredible night of music Wednesday, Nov. 10, includes The Heavy Pets, Honey Island Swamp Band, Zoogma and Aquaphonics. Pre-Pre-Party Tickets are $20 and include all music, camping, taxes and fees. Only Thursday-Sunday ticket buyers are eligible to purchase the Wednesday night ticket. A staffed children’s area with a full program of arts, crafts and activities is available. A sports bar in the Music Hall will provide you with viewing of your favorite college or professional sports events and races when you’re not enjoying the music outside. Pets are not allowed at Bear Creek. Special events include a canned food drive, disc golf tournament to raise funds for American Red Cross International Response Fund for Haitian Relief and a new greening program where guests are encouraged to bring or purchase reusable water bottles and take advantage of the many water filling stations at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. A costume party will be held on Saturday.
While at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park you may want to experience a canoe trip, visit the Store of the Village to buy all you need for a great camping experience, shop the Crafts Village, play disc golf, fish our lake, rent a golf cart, hike the beautiful trails, see our bat house, rent a modern cabin, play mini golf, check out the observation beehive, dine at the SOS Café and Restaurant, bring your RV or enjoy Yoga and kids activities.
Private golf carts allowed but require proof of insurance and payment of trail fees. All golf carts must be registered. ATVs are not allowed in the SOSMP. Please call the SOSMP office at 386-364-1683 to verify your golf cart meets park policy before bringing it to the SOSMP.
