The Texas Frightmare Weekend is coming up May 3-5th in Dallas Texas and during the popular Horror fest, they will be screening films for passholders courtesy of IFC Films and IFC Midnight.  On Saturday, May 4th at 8:00pm, they will be screening Elijah Wood’s film “Maniac”.

In this brutal, unrelenting, first-person remake of William Lustig’s 1980 classic, Frank (Elijah Wood) is the withdrawn owner of a mannequin store, but his life changes when young artist Anna (Nora Arnezeder) appears asking for his help with her new exhibition. As their friendship develops and Frank’s obsession escalates, it becomes clear that she has unleashed his long-repressed compulsion to stalk and kill. Maniac will see US distribution through IFC Midnight on June 21st in theaters and via cable and digital VOD.
