“Grimm” was everywhere at the 2013 Comic Con : from shuttle buses which were decorated in “Grimm” fashion, to a packed panel, to the Exotic Tea and Spice Shop set up across from the convention center where fans could have their photo taken in a replica of one of the shows sets.
Stars from the hit NBC series met with members of the press to discuss what we can look forward to in Season 3.
Russell Hornsby says that in Season 3 the stories will be “more involved” In Season 2, creators worked Hornsby’s real life injury into the show and Hornsby says they are always really good about working with the actors on their characters. “The whole gang now participates (not just Nick) in helping out with the Wesen, they are like the Scooby Gang.” Hornsby also said that we may see Hank with a new love interest in Season 3.
Claire Coffee who plays bad girl Adalind on the hit show has done all sorts of evil things on the show, including trying to sell her unborn child. We asked her how much fun it was to be bad, “I highly recommend it! If you ever have the chance to be bad on a television show where you aren’t actually hurting anyone, you should do it!”
Bree Turner who plays Rosalee on the show says that this year “the bar is raised”. There is much more action this year and more of it is being done by the actors and not stunt people. The director really wants to see the actors hanging 40 feet in the air and not have to cut to a shot of a stunt person.”
Reggie Lee’s Sgt. Wu has been through a lot on Grimm. It seems whenever one of the Wesen attacks one of the gang, Wu is always in the middle. Reggie Lee recalled shooting a particular episode where his character eats copious amounts of carpet. ” I had rug burn in my mouth the next day! The carpet on set was part cotton candy, part coconut and part actual carpet. By the end of the day I had actually eaten a good amount of real carpet.”
Director Norberto Barba says that he is really excited about the character and the storylines in Season 3. One of the things he likes best about the show is that it is a “Police Procedural in a real city in a real world setting, with a supernatural twist.”
