Starts for the CW show “Supernatural” performed for a packed audience at the 2015 Supernatural Convention put on by Creation Entertainment last Saturday in Las Vegas. Rob Benedict, who plays Chuck Shurley/Carver Edlund on the show ant his band Louden Swain headlined the evening playing a mix of original music and classic hits. Many of his fellow actors on “Supernatural” joined the band onstage to perform some of their favorite songs.
Sebastian Roche (Balthazar) put his twist on a classic INXS song and whipped the audience into a frenzy before joining fellow castmates offstage to watch the rest of the show. Osric Chau (Kevin Tran), Gil McKinney (Henry Winchester), Mark Sheppard (Crowley) and Matt Cohen (young John Winchester) also added some of their favorite songs to the mix.
Clearly the highlight of the evening was a special appearance by Jensen Ackles who plays Dean Winchester on the show. The crowd went crazy when Ackles joined the band onstage to sing The Eagles’ Seven Bridges Road. Ackles on-screen dad Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who was making his first ever convention appearance, came onstage to request that Ackles sing one of his favorite songs – Night Ranger’s “Sister Christian”. Ackles’ has a very powerful singing voice which quite surprising to those in the audience who had never heard him sing prior to Saturday night.
An evening filled with great and entertaining performance wrapped up day three of the 2015 Las Vegas Supernatural Convention.
